The Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) dismissed Jindal Aluminium’s appeal for compensation for Wind Power injected into Karnataka’s grid in 2015 before a formal agreement. The tribunal ruled that the conditions under Section 70 of the Indian Contract Act were not met, as Karnataka distribution companies did not use the power or benefit from it.
