Swedish utility Vattenfall will develop a 254 MW/700 MWh energy storage facility at the decommissioned Brunsbuettel nuclear site in northern Germany. Approved by the Brunsbuettel city council, the battery project is scheduled to become operational by 2028, pending Vattenfall’s final investment decision.
