Tunisia’s Ministry of Energy and Mines has launched a tender for a 300 MW solar farm coupled with a 150 MW/540 MWh battery storage system near Kébili. Independent power producers can submit bids until October 14. With the recent commissioning of Amea Power’s 120 MW solar plant, Tunisia’s operational solar capacity nears 1 GW, as the country continues its push for utility-scale renewable projects.
