Germany's RWE and France's TotalEnergies have signed a landmark agreement to supply 30,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually from 2030 to 2044. The hydrogen will be produced at RWE's 300 MW electrolysis plant in Lingen, Germany, set to begin operations in 2027. This deal, one of the largest in the green hydrogen sector, will help decarbonize TotalEnergies' Leuna refinery in eastern Germany, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 300,000 tonnes annually.
