The government of Madhya Pradesh has introduced policy scheme for the implementation of Pump hydro projects in the states. According to the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Madhya Pradesh will require around 29,956 MW of solar power and 5,293 MW of wind power by 2034-35 to meet its growing energy needs.
