Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission approved MSEDCL’s 1,600 MW solar procurement at competitive tariffs, supplied by four developers. Power sale agreements span 25 years, commencing June 2026, with tariffs between ₹2.66–₹2.72/kWh, lower than FY24 average costs. MSEDCL plans 12,693 MW additional solar by 2033–34, managing surplus via 3,500 MW pumped storage and 2,750 MW battery energy storage.
