Jadavpur University will set up a green hydrogen Centre of Excellence with DVC, SAIL and HURL after MNRE sanction under National Green Hydrogen Mission, among four selected proposals. Vice-Chancellor Chiranjib Bhattacharya said CoE will focus on power, steel and fertiliser sectors. Research covers co-firing hydrogen in power boilers, efficient compression, hydrogen-metal interaction for storage and transportation, and hydrogen in blast furnaces.
