Elgin Acquires Late-Stage 200MW Blackhall Solar Farm in Ireland From GP Joule

UK IPP Elgin has acquired the 200MW Blackhall Solar Farm in County Meath, Ireland, from German supplier GP Joule, described as late-stage with approvals and grid connection secured. Elgin will invest around €200 million ($227.3 million) in development and construction. The deal boosts Elgin's capacity eligible for Ireland's sixth Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) auction, supporting Ireland's 80% renewable target by 2030.
