India has reached a major milestone with the deployment of 1,000 electric trucks under the National Highways for Electric Vehicles (NHEV) initiative. Launched in 2024, this initiative, in partnership with Transvolt Mobility, involved technical trials and commercial prototyping. A ₹500 crore blended climate finance instrument supported the deployment.
