The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Energy plans to add 3 gigawatts of Solar and Wind power to the national grid by summer 2025. Private sector companies will handle these projects under a build, own, operate model. Major projects include a 500-MW Solar Plant by Scatec, a 1,000 MW Solar Project by AMEA Power, and various wind farms, with investments over $2.
