Chinese electric car giant BYD plans to establish its first manufacturing unit near Hyderabad, making Telangana the first Indian state to host a BYD factory. The Telangana government has proposed three locations for the unit. BYD aims to manufacture cars locally, lowering costs and increasing sales.
