The Maharashtra government will retract its decision to impose a 6% motor vehicle tax on electric vehicles over Rs 30 lakh, announced Chief Minister Fadnavis. The state budget also includes taxes on construction vehicles and light goods vehicles, expected to generate substantial revenue. Additionally, there’s a 1% tax hike on CNG and LPG vehicles, and the maximum motor vehicle tax limit was raised to Rs 30 lakh.
