BNP Paribas SA and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have partnered to create a €1 billion portfolio of bank guarantees to support EU wind farm investments. The EIB will provide €500 million in counter-guarantees, and the deal's leverage effect is expected to generate up to €8 billion in industry investments, as stated in a BNP Paribas press release on Thursday.
