The UK Government is investing £55.7 million in the Port of Cromarty Firth to support floating offshore wind development. This funding will make the port the first in the UK with large-scale infrastructure for floating turbines, creating up to 1,000 skilled jobs by 2028. The project supports clean energy goals, boosts economic growth, and aims to attract further investment to the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport.
