The Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) upheld CERC’s decision to reject adopting the tariff from SECI’s 500 MW/1,000 MWh pilot battery energy storage system (BESS) tender. SECI and JSW Renew Energy Five’s appeals were dismissed due to delays and a significant market price drop making the original tariff outdated.
