China Huadian has begun construction on the ¥3.9bn ($548m) Tiaobinshan green hydrogen-to-methanol plant in Liaoning, powered by 450MW of wind energy and 295MW of electrolysers. The facility will produce 19,000 tonnes of green hydrogen and 100,000 tonnes of green methanol annually, mainly for export.
