Philippine Tanker Capsizes Off Manila, Oil Spill Threatens Bay

The MT Terra Nova, carrying 1.4 million liters of industrial fuel oil, capsized off Manila Bay amid heavy rains from Typhoon Gaemi. An oil slick extending 3.7 kilometers is being contained, with fears of it being the largest spill in Philippine history. Efforts are underway to rescue the missing crew member and mitigate environmental damage.
