MERC Orders MSEDCL to Compensate Wind Power Generators

Last Update 17 October 2024

The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has ordered MSEDCL to pay delayed payment charges and penalties to Small Wind Power Generators due to unpaid dues. The generators, who had long- and short-term contracts, complained of MSEDCL's failure to pay invoices for clean energy. MERC ruled that MSEDCL's non-compliance warrants DPC charges and associated interest up to March 2018.
