Malaysia Launches Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme

Malaysia will launch the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS) to enhance corporate access to Green Electricity in September 2024. Regulated by the Energy Commission, CRESS will allow Open Grid Access for Green Energy, supporting Malaysia’s goal of a 40% Renewable Capacity by 2035 and 70% by 2050. It’s expected to attract over RM10 billion in investments and create nearly 14,000 jobs.
