Grid-Connected Renewables Reach 148 GW in India

During Q1 of this fiscal year, India's renewable energy sector added 4.4 GW of new capacity, primarily from solar (3.7 GW) and wind (770 MW). As of June 30, 2024, total grid-connected renewable capacity reached 148 GW, with solar dominating at 85 GW, followed by wind at 47 GW, biomass at 1.4 GW, and small hydro at 5 GW.
