Houston-based start-up Gold H2 plans to use its biotech process, Black 2 Gold (B2G), to convert old oil wells into hydrogen production sites, offering clean hydrogen at $0.8/kg. The company has signed an MoU with a major oil firm to initiate pilot projects over the next year. Each site can produce up to 2.5 tonnes of hydrogen daily, transforming non-productive wells into sustainable energy sources
