Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) has issued a tender for a 100 MW/250 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) across multiple districts, including Rudrapur, Kashipur, Haldwani, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Dehradun, Uttarkashi, and Haridwar. The BESS will support energy time-shift, ramping, frequency regulation, resource adequacy, and backup for critical loads.
