TenneT has achieved a key milestone in its 900 MW BorWin5 Offshore Grid Project in Germany. The BorWin epsilon converter platform, linking to EnBW’s He Dreiht wind farm, was installed on its jacket in the North Sea. Weighing 12,300 tonnes and as tall as a 16-storey building, it will convert three-phase AC to DC for mainland transmission via a 120km subsea cable.
