Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) commissioned a 198 MW group-captive wind project in Karur, Tamil Nadu, for Tata Steel, comprising 55 turbines of 3.6 MW. Generating 31 million units annually, it offsets 26,350 tons of CO₂. Executed through a self-EPC model, the project overcame logistical and geological challenges and achieved record timelines.
