Indian Railways plans to source 1,000 MW of solar power under its solar mission and aims to meet 10% of its energy needs from renewable sources, Minister Rajen Gohain informed the Lok Sabha. Additionally, it plans to harness 200 MW of wind power over five years. So far, 50 MW of renewable power has been installed.
