United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) for its Taiwanese 500 MW Fengmiao 1 Offshore Wind Farm. This is UMC’s largest renewable energy transaction in history as it gears up to purchase more than 30 billion kWh of power from Fengmiao 1 over 30 years.
