US approves 2.4 GW Offshore Wind project

United States’ Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has approved the nation’s 11th Offshore Wind project. The SouthCoast Wind Project is a 2.4 GW offshore wind project which will supply enough energy to power 840,000 households of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. This takes the total of approved offshore energy projects to 19 GW.
