Spanish Energy giant Repsol is investing €16 million to produce low-carbon biohydrogen from waste-derived biomethane at its Puertollano refinery, supporting its renewable diesel plant launching in 2026. This biohydrogen aims to reduce renewable diesel’s CO₂ footprint by up to 98%. The move follows shelving a larger 130 MW green hydrogen project but shows a continued commitment to hydrogen technologies.
