Oman Issues RFP for 1000 MW Battery Storage Project

Authority for Public Services Regulation has issued an RFP to appoint advisors for a 1,000MW/4-hour BESS project in Oman. The consultant will provide regulatory, technical, and commercial validation. The project supports Oman’s rapidly growing renewable sector, which reached 1,722MW in 2025. With a national target of 40% renewable energy by 2030, the initiative highlights increasing focus on large-scale storage to ensure grid stability and energy transition.
