Namibia’s Walvis Bay port launched a 5 MW green hydrogen plant in December 2025, developed by Plug Power and Cleanergy Solutions Namibia. Using solar and wind energy, the facility produces about two tonnes of green hydrogen daily to power port vehicles, cranes, and service vessels, reducing fuel use and emissions.
