MSEDCL has introduced subsidised rooftop solar systems at ₹45,450 per kW for BPL and EWS households consuming under 100 units monthly under the SMART scheme. With a ₹30,000 subsidy through PM Suryaghar Yojana, beneficiaries pay only ₹15,450. The system can generate up to 120 free units monthly, with surplus power sold via net metering.
