The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has clarified the applicability of ALMM List-II for solar PV cells across multiple solar project categories. Competitive bidding projects with bid submission deadlines up to August 31, 2025, may remain exempt, subject to tender conditions. Net metering, open access, and certain rooftop solar projects commissioned by December 31, 2026, are exempt from ALMM List-II requirements, while ALMM List-I for modules remains applicable.
