Taiwanese company Gogoro Inc in collaboration with Indian Ministry of Heavy Industries and the Indian Battery Swap Association are planning to finalise India’s Fame 3 subsidy plan, which incorporates battery swapping. Gogoro has also carried out a successful pilot programme with Rapido and is aiming to commercially launch battery swapping and its Smart scooters in the fourth quarter of 2024.
