Mitsubishi Corp recorded a Y52.2bn ($342.4m) impairment charge on its Offshore Wind Projects in Japan due to rising costs, supply chain disruptions, and higher interest rates. The charge, for the nine months ending December 2024, led the company to reassess its business plans. Mitsubishi, which secured three Offshore Wind Projects in 2021, is reviewing their viability amid a changing market environment exacerbated by global challenges.
