The Union Cabinet has approved four new semiconductor units worth ₹4,594 crore, boosting India’s chip ecosystem. SiCSem and 3D Glass Solutions will be set up in Odisha, CDIL in Punjab, and ASIP in Andhra Pradesh. These include India’s first commercial compound fab and advanced glass-based packaging unit.
