Maruti Suzuki India has started production at its new EV manufacturing plant in Hansalpur, Gujarat, with an investment of ₹3,900 crore. The facility adds 250,000 EV annual capacity, increasing total Hansalpur capacity to 1 million units. The expansion will support rising demand for the company’s first electric vehicle, eVitara, and strengthen its EV strategy.
