The Indian government has waived inter-state transmission system (ISTS) charges for Renewable energy, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), and Green Hydrogen/Ammonia projects until June 28, 2025. Hydro Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs) and co-located Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) commissioned before June 30, 2028, receive a 100% waiver if electricity is consumed outside the commissioning state.
