Lohum Becomes First Indian Firm to Start Lithium Mining in Zimbabwe

Lohum has commenced lithium mining operations in Zimbabwe's Matabeleland South Province, dispatching its first tranche of lithium ore and becoming the first Indian company to start lithium operations globally. The company holds rights to 10 spodumene-bearing blocks covering 1,100 hectares, estimated to contain 30-40 million tonnes of ore with 1-3% lithium oxide grade, supporting around 300,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent.
