KPI Green Energy, through its subsidiary Sun Drops Energia, has secured a 445 MW/890 MWh standalone battery energy storage project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. Awarded under a tariff-based bidding process with Viability Gap Funding support, this marks the company’s first utility-scale BESS project and first storage award from a government utility.
