A 20 MW floating solar power plant will be developed at Chilua Tal in Gorakhpur by Coal India Limited under the solar city initiative. Approved by the Uttar Pradesh cabinet, the project will utilize water surfaces without additional land acquisition and supply power to the grid. Expected to generate 33.
