Italy’s Ministry of Environment and Energy Security has approved four Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects totaling 310 MW across Puglia and Emilia-Romagna. The projects include Starlight Energy’s 180 MW Energy Storage San Vito facility, Engie’s 30 MW Troia BESS project, and two 50 MW Fossoli Storage projects by Boca Solar.
