Eku Energy has acquired rights to a 300 MW ready-to-build battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Didcot, Oxfordshire, UK, from TBC Partners and Ejon. The acquisition strengthens Eku Energy’s large-scale storage portfolio amid rising demand for grid flexibility solutions. The project has secured a Gate 2 offer under NESO’s TMO4+ grid connection reforms with completion targeted for late 2028.
