EirGrid has launched a public consultation for Tonn Nua, a planned offshore wind grid connection project supporting up to 900 MW of renewable capacity off Ireland’s south coast. The consultation runs from 15 September to 8 December 2026 and covers potential landfall points, offshore substations, subsea cable corridors, and onshore infrastructure across Cork and Wexford.
