India plans to invest ₹90,000 crore in undersea power transmission lines to export electricity to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, said Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The Saudi project will cost ₹47,000 crore, while the UAE link will require ₹43,000 crore. Each will transmit 2 GW of electricity, spanning 1,400 km and 1,600 km, respectively.
