HERC Rejects DISCOMs’ ₹0.82/kWh Open Access Surcharge

The Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission reviewed petitions from UHBVNL and DHBVNL seeking an additional surcharge for open-access electricity in H2 FY 2023-24. The DISCOMs argued the surcharge, increasing from ₹0.53 to ₹0.82 per kWh, was needed due to stranded power costs.
