Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Gujarat has successfully installed 3.36 lakh solar rooftop panels under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the highest in India. The state exceeded its target for 2024-25, contributing 34% of the country’s Rooftop Solar Installations. The initiative has generated over 1,232 megawatts of energy, saving coal and reducing carbon emissions.
