The Indian government has revised the target of Battery Energy Storage System Viability Gap Fund target from 4000MWh to 13200MWh by 2027-28. The change of capacity target has happened with the decrease in the cost of storage allowing the same budget of INR 3760 Crore without additional finance outlay.
