Google has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Apex Clean Energy for the entire 79.3MW capacity of the Rocky Forge Wind project in Botetourt County, Virginia. This project, comprising 13 GE wind turbines, is Virginia's first onshore wind project and is set to begin operations in 2026.
