Tesla supplier Panasonic Energy plans to eliminate its supply-chain dependence on China for electric vehicle batteries. The decision has been made following the Trump’s presidentship where he has vowed to raise tariff to 60 % on imported Chinese goods. The major part of the raw material for Panasonic Energy’s US-made batteries come from overseas suppliers.
