Goldwind will supply 39 of its 6.2MW turbines for Red Rocket’s 242MW Overberg Wind Farm in South Africa. Located near Swellendam, the 380MW project will be built in two phases. Richards Bay Minerals has secured 230MW, expecting 750GWh annually. The wind farm, South Africa’s largest private project, will operate under a 20-year PPA, with commercial operations starting in early 2027.
